Herrmans acquires the business and technology of Roxim Technologies Inc.

A new step forward: Herrmans Bike Components has acquired the products, technology and business of ROXIM Technologies Inc., a Taiwan-based developer of bicycle lighting.

This is an important step for Herrmans. The acquisition strengthens our lighting portfolio, expands our presence in Asia, and supports our ability to serve global customers in the bicycle and e-bike industry.

Roxim brings valuable know-how in bicycle lighting, complementary product categories, and local presence in one of the most important hubs of the global bicycle industry.

“Our focus market is primarily bicycle components for bicycles sold in Europe. These bicycles are manufactured both in Europe and in Asia. Over the past challenging years, we have worked hard to strengthen our competitiveness in Europe and in bicycle production taking place here. At the same time, the industry is changing, and being present where our customers operate is becoming increasingly important,” says Dan Liljeqvist, CEO of Herrmans Bike Components.

For Herrmans, the acquisition opens the door to new opportunities in Asia and supports closer cooperation with customers producing in both Asia and Europe. It also strengthens Herrmans’ long-term position in bicycle lighting.

The transition has already started, and from May 1, 2026, Herrmans takes over the business. During a transition period, production will continue in the current factory and will gradually move to the Taichung area, where Herrmans already has a sales office.

“Taiwan is an important hub in the global bicycle industry, and this acquisition strengthens Herrmans’ position here as well as our ability to serve global customers with local development and production. With Roxim becoming part of the group, Herrmans gains stronger capabilities closer to many customers and partners in the bicycle industry,” says Jimmy Lin, General Manager, Herrmans Asia.

For Roxim, the transaction provides a stable continuation for the business, its expertise and its customers.

“After many years in the business, I am pleased to hand Roxim over to Herrmans. It feels good to know that the company’s expertise, products and legacy will continue in good hands as part of a strong and respected player in the bicycle industry,” says Jerry Liu, Founder and CEO of Roxim.

The acquisition is part of Herrmans’ continued development and supports innovation, customer value and long-term competitiveness. In the first phase, the focus is on a smooth transition and on making the most of Roxim’s complementary strengths in product development, lighting expertise and customer support.
