The main responsibilities of our new IT Specialist will be:

– Manage IT Operations: Ensure our IT infrastructure is secure, efficient, and well-maintained.

– Administer Systems: Oversee the configuration and upkeep of servers, workstations, and software.

– Provide Technical Support: Be the go-to person for resolving IT issues for our team.

– Design Network Infrastructure: Ensure reliable connectivity and robust data security.

– Handle IT Procurement: Manage the acquisition and maintenance of IT hardware and software.

– Establish Backup and Recovery Plans: Protect our data and prepare for any emergency.

– Ensure Compliance: Keep up with IT laws and regulations to maintain our standards.

– Strategize and Implement IT Services: Develop plans that align IT services with our business goals.

– Research and Manage IT Solutions: Stay ahead of tech trends and manage IT projects effectively.

– Lead IT Projects: Guide the implementation of new systems and processes.

This role will have more focus on operative and practical tasks in a first stage, but with time the role will be directed more towards developing and improving our IT operations.

What you need:

The job requires >3 years of experience in a comparable position. Vocational training in IT or a bachelor’s degree in IT is preferred. You will need good understanding of IT systems, hardware, software, and cybersecurity best practices. Experience in project management, particularly in managing IT infrastructure projects from start to finish is an advantage.

You are a problem-solver with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues. We value good communication skills to ensure successful collaboration with team members and providing user support to the whole organization. You communicate fluently in English and either Finnish or Swedish.

The job location is at Herrmans headquarters in Sandsund, but remote working is possible to some extent.
